1. A Sunny Spot

Plant lavender in a well-lit, sunny location. Sunlight is what drives abundant blooming, healthy growth, and a dense, well-shaped bush.

2. Prepare the Soil

Lavender thrives in light, well-drained soil. If your soil is heavy or clay-like, work in some sand or another loosening material.

3. Prepare the Planting Hole

The hole should be larger than the seedling's root ball. Loosen the soil well so the roots can establish themselves easily.

4. Plant It Right

Bury the root collar and shape a small basin around the bush. This helps water reach the roots directly when you water it.

5. Watering

Water regularly during the first week after planting. After that, water as needed, based on the weather and how dry the soil gets.
